2016 Garden Club Youth Award Winners

The National Garden Clubs (NGC) and their affiliate organizations offer various educational contests for children at the pre-school, elementary, middle and high school levels. Winners of the local Bar Harbor Garden Club (BHGC) competitions went on to compete within the Garden Club Federation of Maine (GCFM), and the New England Region (NER).

Two of these children continued on to compete for the national awards: Azaria Long received a NGC Certificate of Commendation for her sculpture entry, and Elizabeth Ward was the First Place NGC winner for her poetry entry. Congratulations to all of our Youth Award Winners!
