On Veterans Day, November 11, 2022, at 11 am, the Bar Harbor Garden Club is planning an in-person Veterans Day Observance at the Blue Star Memorial Marker. The Marker is located on Route 3, 1/3 of a mile from the head of Mount Desert Island. The hand-crafted wreath will be on display at the site.
The public is invited to join the Club as we pay tribute to the members of the United States Military who have served and are serving our country.
During the pandemic years, we did not meet in person; we collected written thoughts and remembrances for our archives. If you wish to add more written reflections, please bring the written page with you to the observance. If you wish to read something to those in attendance, please email it to [email protected] so that it can be added to the program.
