There was a “hands on” workshop on April 11 for members and guests of the Bar Harbor Garden Club. Susan Covino Buell, an artistic flower arranger, presented helpful hints and a lovely assortment of fresh flowers.
Participants used regal iris, daisies, snapdragons, carnations and dainty baby’s breath to great advantage. Buell, a Southwest Harbor resident, has been a flower designer for St. John’s Church for thirty years.
The Bar Harbor Garden Club promotes the love of horticulture, provides scholarship opportunities for youths, and engages in civic projects Island-wide.
