A Beekeeping Community at Terramor, Bar Harbor

Omar Amar, operations manager, presents to the Bar Harbor Garden Club on Monday, October 2, 2023, on beekeeping at the Terramor Resort, a unique camping setting in the woods close to nature.  Omar shared his beekeeping experience and its alignment with Terramor’s mission for the environment and to benefit the overall MDI community.  BHGC members and guests enjoyed the late afternoon presentation on bees.  We toured bat houses erected around their property to help control the mosquito population.  Omar is burning sage smudge sticks which calms the bees, himself, and keeps the mosquitos away.
