Bar Harbor Garden Club Garden Tours

The Bar Harbor Garden Club offers biennial garden tours on the odd-number years. Our garden tours serve as fundraisers that support a variety of community projects, as well as fund college scholarships for Horticulture and Environmental study students.

Our next BHGC Garden Tour will be held on July 24, 2027.

2025 Garden Tour

The most recent garden tour was held on Saturday, July 19, 2025. ‘Gardens By The Sea’ offered five Bar Harbor gardens and stunning borders of colorful perennials and annuals stretching to the water’s edge. This self-guided, garden tour was easy to walk. And for those who needed a ride, we provided a shuttle service.

The 2025 garden tour was a huge success! From all accounts our guests, garden owners and volunteers had a very enjoyable time! The garden owners worked hard to prepare for this tour and over 100 volunteers took part.

The support from our local businesses was outstanding! Our Transportation Sponsors this year were Acadia Bike & Coastal Kayaking Tours, Acadia Gem, Darling’s Auto Group, MDI Biolab and Stanley Subaru.
