Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens

Members and Friends traveled by coach today to Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens in Boothbay for a terrific day of touring, learning, walking and enjoying the many garden areas. What a magnificent treasure this over 300-acre garden is–what a gift.
Thank you to our BHGC President Barbara Amstutz for organizing our outing and to our two volunteer docents and to staff member Michaela Bitterman for their personal guided tours.
The oohs and aahs were heard all around as we visited the key features of the property. We especially enjoyed the Lerner Garden of the Five Senses, the Haney Hillside Garden, the Vayo Meditation Garden and the super special Bibby & Harold Alfond Children’s Garden. Stunning all.
