Getting a head start on spring, the Bar Harbor Garden Club welcomes Jodi Sargent, owner of Eden Street Flowers located in Hull’s Cove, to its March 13th meeting. Eden Street Flowers began as an ornamental garden installation business and has grown into a cut flower farm on 1/4
acre. Her mission is to “to build a business that is an indispensable part of the community through reciprocal relationship-building and ecological farming practices.” The business specializes in winter-grown tulips as well as annual and perennial bouquets from January through October.
After Ms. Sargent’s presentation on how she coaxes tulips to bloom during the cold, Maine winter months, participants have the opportunity to select a bouquet of tulips to take home with them. To reserve a bouquet, attendees are asked to pre-order a bouquet on her website (https://www.edenstreetflowers.com/bouquets/tulips-bouquetsbhgc). Please bring your favorite vase for tulips and a pair of clean snips to the meeting!

The program will be followed by light refreshments and a business meeting. This presentation is one of the monthly programs offered to the public by the Bar Harbor Garden Club.
