STUDENT CONSERVATION ASSOCIATION (SCA)

The SCA provides field opportunities for students with interests in ecological and environmental studies. The National Park Service directs and mentors SCA interns who carry out trail construction and restoration; annual peregrine falcon studies; hawk population counts, and studies; as well as many other areas.

The BHGC supports the placement of SCA summer students in Acadia National Park by making an annual donation ($500-$1,000) towards this program. Our SCA interns’ efforts directly impact the success of this National Park on MDI.
