Our speakers, Glenon Friedmann and Rose Avenia, are the co-founders of Bar Harbor Farm. They will tell us how two college friends decided to start farming together when they were in their mid 50s. This Agriculture enterprise is supported in-part by the local community that pledges support, and shares the risks and benefits of their food production through their Community Supported Agriculture (CSA).

This will be Glenon Friedmann’s tenth season farming on MDI. She is a graduate from the MOFGA Journeyperson Program. Rose Avenia ran her own CSA in Vermont for a number of years before returning to Bar Harbor in 2014.

SNOW CANCELLATION POLICY: When school is closed, there will NOT be a meeting.

This presentation, is one of the monthly programs offered by the Bar Harbor Garden Club. Doors will open at 12:30 p.m. and refreshments will be served.

This meeting is open to the public, but non-members are asked to reserve a seat at rsvp@barharborgardenclub.org or call 207-244-1116.
