— Please Join us for a virtual ‘Zoom’ presentation —
Sheepscot General co-founders, Ben and Taryn Marcus, to speak at the Bar Harbor Garden Club’s November meeting.

The Bar Harbor Garden Club’s November 12 meeting will be presented by Ben and Taryn Marcus of Sheepscot General. Ben and Taryn met at a sheep club while studying agriculture in college. After traveling the world, they came back to Ben’s hometown of Whitefield, Maine. They rented an old dairy farm and farm stand, and named their enterprise Sheepscot General.

All Sheepscot General fields have been certified organic with MOFGA for the past decade. In 2019, they grew three acres of hemp from top-of-the-line, Oregon CBD genetics. Their hemp is rich in CBD, not THC, and grown for holistic purposes.

This enterprise is currently finishing its tenth farming season. Ben and Taryn farm about 100 acres and produce maple syrup, seedlings, vegetables, hemp, apples and strawberries.

The November club meeting will be offered only to our club members, and will take place via Zoom. All club members will receive an email containing a link to our Zoom meeting prior to November 12th. The “Zoom Room” will open at 12:45 PM and we strongly urge you to sign on early to allow time to check your connection and work out any technical issues.
