Kelley Farm Green Bean Project for Bar Harbor Food Pantry

Bar Harbor Garden Club made quick work of the sixth harvest of beans for the Bar Harbor Food Pantry. We picked the final beans from the third planting and removed the plants. We totaled 6.4 pounds which brought our cumulative total to just under 100lbs of green beans donated to the Bar Harbor Food Pantry. Next week we should have well over 10lbs as it will be prime time for the fourth planting. The following week will be the last harvest. Next week is the penultimate harvest. Many thanks to the Bean Team of volunteers who faithfully worked together all summer to plant, weed, water and harvest!
