The Bar Harbor Garden Club will host an Annual Meeting Luncheon and Butterfly Garden Tour on Thursday, May 9, 2019 from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM at the Coda Restaurant, 18 Village Way, Southwest Harbor.
Ann Judd, Maine Master Gardner & South Carolina Master Naturalist, will be the keynote speaker. Ann’s presentation will focus on the amazing lifecycle of the Monarch Butterflies, and the role played by the Charlotte Rhoades Park and Butterfly Garden. A tour of Charlotte Rhoades Park Butterfly Garden, 191 Main Street, Southwest Harbor will follow lunch.
Ann is an Approved Horticulture Judge for the Garden Club of America and is presently Co-Chair of Civic Projects for the Garden Club of Mount Desert. She is Chair of the Advisory Committee for the Thuya Gardens in Northeast Harbor, and is a board member of the Land and Garden Preserve. In 1998, with the help of local elementary school students, Master Gardeners and volunteers, Ann established the Butterfly Gardens at the Charlotte Rhoades Park.
