STUDENT CONSERVATION ASSOCIATION (SCA) —  The SCA provides field opportunities for students with interests in ecological and environmental studies. The National Park Service directs and mentors SCA interns who carry out trail construction and restoration; annual peregrine falcon studies; hawk population counts, and studies; as well as many other areas.

The BHGC supports the placement of SCA summer students in Acadia National Park by making an annual donation ($500-$1,000) towards this program. Our SCA interns’ efforts directly impact the success of this National Park on MDI.
