Teaghan Rose, COA Gardening Club Co-chair, will be the speaker at the Bar Harbor Garden Club’s September meeting. Her presentation will describe a historic preservation project that transformed a neglected-garden into an edible, wild and native garden.

The ‘Sunken Garden’ restoration was Yaniv Korman’s senior project that involved historical research, the restoration process with the community, and establishing the Edible-plant List of the Sunken Garden, which is available on Facebook. Teaghan and Yaniv Korman led all of the educational workshops and planting operations.

Following the presentation, Teaghan will give a tour of the Sunken Garden, which is located between Turrets Administration Building and Peach house.

Non-members are asked to reserve a seat at rsvp@barharborgardenclub.com or call 460-8496.
