In this time of rising food prices and food supply concerns, we continue to waste over 1/3 of the food produced in the U.S. The Mitchell Center at University of Maine has developed solutions to end food waste in Maine. Find out how you and your community can stop food waste to save money, feed more people, and protect the environment to fight climate change.

In 2019, Susanne was awarded a Mitchell Center grant to fund a multidisciplinary student research project identifying sustainable food waste solutions for Maine businesses bringing a real-world “sustainable business” opportunity to the Maine Business School. She will share many of her success stories with local businesses working to eliminate food waste and practical advice of what we can do in our own homes.

Susanne is an entrepreneurial senior executive who has created, launched and operated successful multi-million-dollar consumer products brands and businesses with large Fortune 100 companies as well as with lean start-up teams. She specializes in strategic solutions, P&L management, brand marketing, consumer insights, business development, product design and manufacturing, licensing and merchandising, and effective team building.

The Club meeting will begin with a brief business discussion at 2:00 PM and the talk will follow at 2:30 P.M. All are welcome to join the meeting and presentation.

This presentation is one of the monthly programs offered by the Bar Harbor Garden Club to the public. We do ask both club members and others to make a reservation by emailing or by calling 207-460-8496.
