Sandy Fortin, Founder of Energy Elements
Ever since Sandy Fortin was a child, she has immersed herself in a broad range of outdoor
activities including camping, hiking, skiing, sailing, or simply climbing a tree, building a snow
fort, or building a fairy house in the forest. Ms. Fortin has continued her passionate interest in
the outdoors by becoming a certified Association of Nature and Forest Therapy Guide (ANFT),
Certified Alternative Healer in Reiki, Access Consciousness, and Energy Psychology. She has
led Mindful Nature Walks and Touched by Nature experiences for veterans, educators,
conservation organizations, Healthy Acadia, Garden Federation conferences and many more.
Ms. Fortin’s current role as founder of Energy Elements initially evolved from an internship at Husson University where she founded The Green Gem Holistic Healing Oasis, a wellness and Alternative Healing Learning Center in Bangor. She continues to provide and facilitate Outdoor Experience Days and regular wellness programs at LL Bean and Husson University. A favorite quote of Ms. Fortin’s is from John Muir: “Between every two pines is a doorway to a new world.” Please join us for a wonderful, hands-on presentation and be “Touched by Nature.”
The presentation is scheduled for Thursday, April 11 at 1:00 P.M. at Birch Bay
Retirement Village, Bar Harbor. The program will include time for questions and will be followed by a Holiday Tea and club business meeting. All are welcome to attend.
